Accessibility

Effective October 7, 2026 · Version 2026-10-07.2

StellaBase wants StellaBase and the sites built on it to work for everyone, including people who use screen readers, keyboards, zoom or other assistive technology. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA.

What we do

  • Templates use real headings, labels on every form field, visible keyboard focus, skip links and color contrast checked against WCAG.
  • Animations respect the “reduce motion” setting on your device.
  • Owners can write a description for their project photos, other photos are described by the product, project or business name, and decorative images are hidden from screen readers.
  • We test new features for accessibility before release. Our public pages and site templates last passed automated WCAG 2.2 AA checks (axe) on October 8, 2026, on desktop and phone sizes; automated checks don’t catch everything, so we also test with a keyboard.

Known limits

Businesses write their own text and upload their own photos and documents, so some content on their sites may not be fully accessible. Embedded third-party content (maps, videos, payment pages) follows its provider’s accessibility.

Tell us about a barrier

If something on StellaBase or a site we host is hard to use, contact us with the page address and what happened. We’ll respond within 5 business days and work with the business to fix it.
